Science for Sustainability
Examination board of the interfaculty master's programme in Science for Sustainability.
Science for Sustainability is an interfaculty master’s programme run jointly by the Faculty of Science and Nijmegen School of Management. Since the programme spans two faculties, its examination board draws its members equally from both, and I serve as one of the representatives of Nijmegen School of Management.
An examination board is the body that safeguards the quality of examinations and of the degrees a programme awards. Its statutory tasks are set out in the Dutch Higher Education and Research Act: approving individual study programmes, deciding on student requests such as exemptions and additional examination opportunities, investigating suspected fraud and plagiarism, appointing examiners, and reviewing the quality of course files and theses on a yearly basis.
The board was established in April 2026 and members are appointed by the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Science for a four-year term.
